We're working on a challenging and incredibly exciting mission: to bring cultured meat to market.
We are looking for a QC Analyst to join our friendly and dedicated team. You will be part of the Quality team and will report to the Head of Quality. You will perform routine and non-routine analytical testing and coordinate all analyses performed at contract laboratories. You will also oversee the environmental monitoring program.

- Analytical testing is a key aspect for our novel food production and you will be in the lead to interpret test results, compare these to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
Your role
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples
- Testing may include but is not limited to analytical techniques:
- Coordinate analytical testing requirements with contract laboratories and vendors
- Prepare analytical test methods
- Environmental Monitoring and periodically microbiological testing
- Performing environmental monitoring, growth promotion, microorganism identification and microbiological QC assays
- Prepare analytical reports: Laboratory Investigation, Statement of Results and Certificate of Analysis
- You will review, approve and report on generated data for QC Release
- Perform daily/weekly calibrations/monitoring of analytical apparatus
- Updates to analytical databases and spreadsheets
- Perform trending, review and reporting of QC data.
- Review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assay qualification documentation, QC reports and certificates of analysis in addition to more general record keeping and document organization
- Completion of quality related documentation including QC records, change controls, incidents/ deviations and risk assessments in accordance SOPs
- Participation in day-to-day running of QC laboratories (performing stock checks, cleaning, waste disposal and coordinating equipment servicing and maintenance)
Our ideal future team member
- BSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Food Technology or a related field
- 3 – 5 years relevant work experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with working under a quality system and the regulatory requirements in food/pharma
- Experience working within a regulated scientific laboratory e.g. GMP/GLP, ISO or UKAS
