Test Engineer Technician.

Quality Assurance & HSSE
REMOTE

Role Description

Do you have a passion for creating sustainable eco-conscious products that solve world problems?

Can you apply radical thinking and perseverance to solve problems and identify opportunities?

If you like to get hands-on, stuck in, and get excited about making prototypes, testing them to breaking point and starting all over again, you could be working with a Bristol-based emerging leader in the fight against micro-pollutions to make a real and immediate impact to our world and our seas.

Matter. is a microplastics technology company focused on sustainable design and the circular economy. As a new team member, you will be working on some of the biggest challenges of our time; removing microplastics and micropollutants from waterways. Through brilliant design thinking, powerful partners, and an impatience to make what they do matter, Matter's mission is to stop micro-pollution at the source.

They need a Test Engineer Technician with ambition and exceptional attention to detail to work with Engineers and Technical Leads, in a well-equipped and creative environment, maintaining a workspace that enables freedom to develop world-changing products. The workspace you'll take ownership of includes traditional workshop machinery, a laboratory, and a high-tech 3D printing suite with both a Form3L SLA printer and a large-format FDM printer.

How do you know if you are the right person for this role? If you have any combination of these skills:

  • Passion for sustainability in technical workspace practices
  • Experience supporting an engineering team to deliver project goals
  • Own the technical workspace (laboratory and workshop)
  • Organise test schedules and run testing
  • Build prototypes and test rigs
  • Manage the 3D printing suite (organise build schedules, post-process parts)
  • Meticulous organisational skills and can maintain a tidy environment
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation
  • Maintain workshop machinery and laboratory items
  • Stock keeping and support with purchasing

…then we want to talk about how you can apply them to drive a world-changing mission!

In return, you will be offered a salary of £25,000-£27,000p/a, 26 days annual leave (plus a day off for your birthday!), and an open opportunity to pursue professional development and growth, amongst other benefits.

The global mission to achieve cleaner water can’t wait, so neither should you, apply today.

Matter is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among its team. The aim is for their workforce to be truly representative of society and they are open to family-friendly, flexible working arrangements to support their team members.
